Heya!

The month started with a bang when hundreds of brands united in opposition to Georgia’s new voting laws that would put many limitations on minority groups. Cue a very slow clap.

Beyond the Instagram posts a few peaches went above and beyond:

  1. Major League Baseball relocated their All-Star Game from Atlanta to Denver

  2. Will Smith moved his big-budget film ‘Emancipation’ (Apple Studios) from GA

While companies were 100% late to the table and statements came after the political debate (ahem Coca-Cola and Delta Air Lines), brands are learning that they need to say more than “Be Bold” or else Gen Z is coming for you…

Without further ado here are the top campaigns, product launches, and weird-ass stuff from April:

Fork (Top Campaigns)

  • Your Cousin From Boston Gets Vaccinated by Goodby Silverstein & Partners –  Samuel Adams dedicates their National Beer Day Ad to encourage people to get vaxxed. 

  • Introducing Airtags by TBWA/Media Arts Lab – Apple's creative agency finds our wandering keys in the depths of our couches. 

  • With Airheads you can’t not play by Highdive USA – An absurdity you can not look away from or skip through. This skip ad is a lesson in small brand wins.  

  • The Day-After-Women’s-Day Newspaper by Havas, Portugal – Highlights the discrepancy in media coverage between men and women’s sports. 

  • Get Back To What You Love by Google – Google’s new search iteration once again makes us have a midday cry and book a doctor appointment.   

  • Paramount+ Brand Identity by Loyalkaspar – An impressive look that brings the legendary studio into the future. 

  • Loving Homes For Plastic by Liquid Death – A small brand making major strides through authentically insane content. This Earth Day Liquid Death wants you to ship your plastic back to major corps, stamps included! 

  • Yes We Do by W+K – Impossible Burger’s juicy copy.

  • Breakfast, done properly by Leo Burnett – An OOH campaign for McDonald's that no one can resist.

  • The Condo T-Shirt by The Small Agency – A major stunt for Diesel, this “product” launch sells million-dollar shirts with a free apartment. 

  • MariSole Teen Comic Series by Nike – The love story of a girl and her Air Jordan’s we all needed. 

Knife (Top Products)

  • Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400 Hot Sauce by W+K – From the music to the partnership it's just really fun content. 

  • Patagonia Ditches Tech Bros – The outdoors retail company announced that they will no longer be producing garments with corporate logos on them for the sake of mother earth, but feels like a bigger trend is coming…

  • Emo Bites by Emo Nite – The raging coast-to-coast party (literally it's a traveling party) now sells emotional sandwiches. 

  • ULTRABOOST DNA x LEGO Plates Shoes by Adidas – I have a soft spot for sneaker collabs for Dads. 

  • USPS x Star Wars – You can’t not not smile at these R2-D2 announcements. 

  • @shoshibuya – This New York Times cover artist evokes deep thought through color blocking.
